Nabla Connect API
Nabla exposes a REST API (Nabla Connect) that enables health systems and EHR vendors to embed Nabla's ambient AI capabilities into existing clinical workflows and platforms.
Key integration capabilities:
- EHR-native embedding — certified integrations with Epic and athenahealth; API available for all other EHR systems.
- Encounter capture — stream audio or transcripts from existing recording infrastructure to the Nabla processing pipeline.
- Note delivery — receive structured JSON payloads containing clinical note sections (HPI, Assessment & Plan, etc.) for insertion into EHR fields.
- Customizable note templates — configure note types, section structure, and output format via API parameters.
Setup steps:
- Request API credentials via the Nabla Connect program.
- Authenticate using OAuth 2.0 bearer tokens.
- POST encounter audio or transcript data to the
/encountersendpoint. - Poll or subscribe (webhook) to retrieve the generated note payload.
- Map returned note fields to your EHR's data model for automated insertion.
