Jenni is a purpose-built research writing environment that integrates AI autocomplete, a semantic academic search index (248M+ papers via Semantic Scholar, PubMed, arXiv, and CrossRef), and citation management into a single web-based editor. Users can import libraries from Zotero or Mendeley, upload PDFs directly, or pull in Open Access full texts. The AI autocomplete engine can be constrained to draw only from the user's curated library rather than general training data, producing grounded, verifiable suggestions. Outputs can be exported to .docx, LaTeX, or HTML with inline citations auto-formatted in any of 2,600+ styles. A "Reviews" analysis layer cross-references every claim in a draft against the source PDFs and flags issues across six categories including citation accuracy, grammar, and word choice.
