Data Sources

Glide connects natively to Google Sheets, SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.), and external systems via REST APIs. Data is kept in sync in real time through Glide's Data Editor, which provides a spreadsheet-like interface for managing records, relationships, and computed columns.

Workflow Automation

Workflows are configured in the visual Workflow Editor and support:

Triggers: Webhooks, scheduled intervals, inbound emails, user form submissions
Logic: Conditional branches (if/else), loops, nested conditions
AI Steps: Call Glide AI within a workflow to extract structured data from text, generate content, or invoke an AI agent

Glide AI / GlideOS

The Glide AI feature set (part of the new GlideOS) allows builders to:

Auto-generate entire app layouts from a data schema
Create AI agents that perform multi-step tasks (e.g., parse an invoice PDF, write a vendor email)
Add AI-computed columns that enrich data rows automatically

APIs & Webhooks

Glide exposes a REST API and supports inbound/outbound webhooks, enabling integration with tools like Zapier, Make, and custom backends. Role-based access control is enforced at the API level.
